Maine is an interesting place. It's a state with moose and whales, beaches and forests, life as it used to be and life as it should be. It's a state where you can take one road from the western mountains through Augusta and down to the summer hotspot of Boothbay Harbor. It's a state full of surprises: its weather, its people, and its lifestyle.

On May 27, 1998, photographer Justin Russell launched a gallery site of his favorite photos from around the state. As a native Mainer, Justin has always experienced life in the Pine Tree state first-hand. He loves to share that unique experience with people around the world.
